  ImseVimse’s reusable and washable swim nappy is a leak-proof and colourful swim pant for babies and toddlers. It consists of a soft layer of fabric that is leak-proof, in case of small accidents and a stretchy bathing costume fabric on the outside.
  
  These come in two different sizes
  S = 6-8kg

- Will the reusable swim nappy leak?
  A swim nappy is designed to keep solids out of the water. No diaper will keep wee out of the water. It might sound a little bit icky, but in the pool is not a problem because it’s sterile when it leaves the body. If there are any pathogens from an infection, for example, the pool chemicals kill them.
  
  Does it hold urine?
  No, it will not hold urine when in water. There is no absorbent material in a reusable swim nappy, and even if there would be absorbent layers, they would quite quickly absorb also the bath water. When full, the wee would still get mixed up with the pool water. It would also make the swim nappy heavy and interfere with the child’s swimming and floating abilities. Urine in the pool is not a problem because it’s sterile when it leaves the body. If there are any pathogens from an infection, for example, the pool chemicals kill them.
  
  Will a swim nappy contain loose stool?
  Loose stool will dissolve in water much quicker than solid stool. So no, the nappy won’t contain loose stool for very long. If you are aware of your child having loose stools at the moment, please consider not to go swimming in public pools. For everybody’s safety and enjoyment.
  
  How long will a swim nappy contain stool for?
  The swim nappy needs to be changed as soon as possible when soiled. Left on for too long in the water, the poop will start to dissolve in the water and leak out of the nappy into the water.
  
  There’s poop in the swim nappy. What do I do now?
  Remove the child from the water immediately and change the nappy away from the pool in a bathroom. Shake the poop down into the toilet, give the swim nappy a good rinse and pop it into a wet bag until you get home. Put on a clean swim nappy. We recommend having two reusable swim nappies for this reason.
  
  When do I need a swim nappy?
  A swim nappy is essential when swimming if your child isn’t fully potty trained to avoid poop ending up in the water.
  
  When can my child stop using the swim nappy?
  When you are confident the child won’t poop in the nappy and will let you know it’s time to go to the toilet.
  
  How often do I need to check the nappy for soiling?
  Check it every half an hour to an hour at least. If the child is old enough to communicate its needs, maybe less frequent than so. Toddlers should be taken on bathroom breaks every 30-60 minutes.
  
  How often do I need to change the swim nappy?
  The swim nappy only needs to be changed if there is poop in it.
  
  How do I wash the reusable swim nappy?
  Rinse in fresh water after use to get rid of any chlorine, salt water or urine. Machine wash in 40-60 degrees with your regular laundry. Do not tumble dry.
  
  Can I tumble dry the swim nappy?
  We recommend not to tumble dry the swim nappy. This may cause damage to the layer of PUL.
  
  Can I use bleach on the swim nappy?
  Bleach should not be used. It will ruin the colours and may also cause harm to the materials.
  
  Why isn’t there an insert in your swim nappies?
  A swim nappy is designed to contain the poop inside the nappy and out of the water. There is no absorbent material in a reusable swim nappy, and even if there would be absorbent layers, these layers would eventually absorb even the bath water and when full the pee would still get mixed up with the pool water. It would also make the swim nappy heavy and interfere with the child’s swimming and floating abilities. Urine in the pool is not a problem because it’s sterile when it leaves the body. If there are any pathogens from an infection, for example, the pool chemicals kill them.
  
  What are swim nappies made of?
  Our reusable swim nappies are made of recycled polyester and PUL. The inner layer will catch any solids and the waterproof PUL outer will prevent them from escaping into the water. So the baby’s wees will pass through, but not the solids. Our swim nappies are Oeko- Tex certified to guarantee your child’s safety and wellbeing.
  
  Why can’t I use a regular nappy in the pool?
  A regular nappy will swell-up in the pool or water which will make it uncomfortable and sag and add extra weight to your baby. A regular nappy won’t contain urine or stool when in water.
  
  How do I know if the swim nappy is approved to use in my local pool?
  Every public swimming facility may have its own rules and regulations for swim nappies. Check the pool’s specific recommendations before entering the pool.
  
  What should my child wear under a reusable swim nappy?
  You don’t need to spend money on swim nappies every time you go swimming. Also, there’s no need to worry about what kind of materials the disposable nappy is made of.
  
  Can I use a reusable swim nappy as a regular nappy?
  There are no absorbent layers in a reusable swim nappy so no, the swim nappy will leak and should not be used as a regular nappy.
