This bonnet for babies is perfectly suitable to protect the sensitive scalp of the baby. Most of the body heat escapes via the head of the baby. Therefore, the coverage should be very warm and must not slip. Ideal for that is our fine merino virgin wool (from certified organic livestock) which is itch-free and keeps your mini warm.
The wool fibre is a protein fibre and very similar to the human skin in its composition. Wool has an excellent warmth retention, regulates the skin respiration and the oxygen exchange. Wool is moisture regulating, this means, it can take up to one third of its own weight and, depending on the outdoor conditions, give it back to the environment. The fine virgin wool we use for our ENGEL-products comes from merino sheep from certified organic livestock. Merino wool is finely crimped, does not itch and feels soft and cosy. All ENGEL-Products are made in Germany.

Care instructions
Wool is dirt-repellant and regenerates by airing. Wool should be washed by hand very gently in lukewarm water. Do not wring or rub it, because then it can become felted. Many of our articles are machine washable. They can be washed in the washing machine at 30°C, using the wool wash cycle. We absolutely recommend to use a suitable wool detergent which protects the fiber.
